I can't win with that place, they are on vacation until the 11th. You go girls, business must be swell. Sidenote, if you want to feel something cool, buy a pomelo, cut it open and squish the rind.

It was time to replace the three pairs I had on rotation, so yesterday I picked up these at the Madewell store on Lincoln Road. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the premiere issue of Taschen Magazine this morning which came with a $50 gift card to be used at the Taschen store on Lincoln Road. I spent a good 5 minutes looking for the fine print and all I could find was an expiration date of December 31st, so looks like I'll be adding to my book piles when I get back from Puerto Rico this weekend.

This weekend Miami will hold its first annual Wynwood Art Fair to benefit the Lotus House Women's Shelter for homeless women and children. It runs from October 21st-23rd and will feature both local and national artists, who will be presenting interactive works that will engage viewers through a variety of media. Those participating include The Marguiles Collection,The Adrienne Arscht Center, Bass Museum of Art, The Cisneros Foundation, and the De La Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space.

The De La Cruz Collection has collaborated with Friends With You for the fair, where they will be presenting SWEET DREAMS, a parade of giant inflatable creatures along with edible confections inspired by their characters.
